The Los Angeles Dodgers could not have had a better 2-24 season. They had a great offseason ahead of the year. It was so good, they were crowned World Series champions before the season even started.
However, they performed like many thought they would and raised the illustrious World Series title for the eighth time in franchise history. Now, the club could look a little different next season.
The Blue Crew has seven players that will be free agents over the winter. So, today, we break down just who the club is losing and the potential impact.

7 Dodgers who are now free agents
1) Jack Flaherty
Jack Flaherty was great during the time he spent with the Dodgers after being traded away by the Detroit Tigers. He was also electric in the postseason, which could up his value during the offseason.
Analysts predict his next contract to be somewhere around three years, valued at $60 million. On top of that, they also believe he will return to L.A. on that deal.
2) Teoscar Hernandez
Teoscar Hernandez is another player who is now a free agent. He is coming off a successful season where fans have been adamant that they would love to have the slugger back next season. The club gave him a qualifying offer, in which he still has some time to decide.
3) Walker Buehler
Walker Buehler will be a free agent following the Dodgers’ decision not to give him a qualifying offer. While he was not the greatest during the regular season, he did shine during the postseason. He will be an interesting arm that could excite some teams around the league.
4) Kiké Hernández
Kiké Hernández is a free agent, but he has strong intentions to stay in L.A. The utilityman recently worked a shift at Raisin Canes and talked about his desire to return to the Dodgers in 2025.
“I would love to be back” said Hernández
5) Joe Kelly
Joe Kelly may not be big on many people’s boards, but he could still be a player that a team could turn to in the bullpen. He has come out stating that he will not retire, opening up his free agency,
6) Blake Treinen
Blake Treinen is coming off a strong 2024 outing. Many believe that the Dodgers will look to retain him, but he should have multiple teams looking to persuade him elsewhere.
7) Clayton Kershaw
Clayton Kershaw is likely staying in L.A. The lefty only appeared in seven games this past season while dealing with injuries. However, he has already stated he will return to the club. It is just a matter of when the two sides sign the deal.
