The DP World Tour season reaches its climax this week with the DP World Tour Championship, and while Rory McIlroy looks to have the Harry Vardon Trophy wrapped up, there is still the small matter of $3 million on offer for the winner of this event.
The PGA Tour’s FedEx Fall schedule has also entered the latter stages, with the Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course the penultimate tournament before next week’s RSM Classic.

DP World Tour Championship prediction – Niklas Norgaard each-way at 33/1
First held back in 2009, then titled the Dubai World Championship, the DP World Tour Championship is played on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates and this week’s edition is the fifth and final event of the Rolex Series.
Four-time Major winner McIlroy and South African Thriston Lawrence are the only two players that can win the Race to Dubai crown, with the latter needing to win and then hope his Northern Irish foe finishes worse than 11th position.
While those two will be keeping a close eye on each other, the other 48 players in this stellar field will be concentrating fully on landing the DP World Tour Championship and one individual that looks capable of claiming the spoils is Niklas Norgaard.
The 32-year-old Dane broke his duck on the European circuit at the British Masters in September, finishing two strokes clear of Thriston Lawrence, and he has kept the momentum going with two top-ten finishes and two top-20 results from his next six starts.
Lovers of links golf have often thrived at this week’s venue with former Open champions McIlroy (2), Collin Morikawa, and Henrik Stenson (2) all triumphing here, so it bodes well that Norgaard has shown an affinity for this type of test.
The world number 89 was tied-tenth at last week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links – a layout described as the first true links golf course in the Middle East region – where he was unrivalled in both greens in regulation and scrambling.
Norgaard, who was also T12 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship four starts ago, looks to have his game in fantastic shape as he prepares to make his tournament debut here.
Bermuda Championship prediction – Patrick Rodgers each-way at 33/1
Port Royal Golf Course hosts the sixth instalment of the Bermuda Championship, event seven of the FedEx Cup Fall, and it may prove worthwhile looking at players with form on coastal, wind-affected layouts.
When the wind gets up at this venue, the course can be an absolute brute, but one player that has shown an affinity for this type of test is Patrick Rodgers, who was T24 at the World Wide Technology Championship last time out.
The 32-year-old American has top-five finishes on his last two starts in Southampton Parish and it is perhaps no surprise to see him contend here, given the fact he has a runners-up result and two top-tens at the RSM Classic, which is played at another coastal venue in Sea Island Golf Club.
