Choosing the Best Huaptec Booster for the UK

For the UK market, Huaptec only has 3 available models that are Ofcom compliant, the Hi-Boost 3s, 4s and 5s boosters. These 3 models all broadcast at 10dB, which is the lowest powered Huaptec model available. The 157dB, 20dB and 23dB Huaptec models that are available, are not approved for use in the UK and should not be used.

Of the three Ofcom approved Huaptec mobile signal boosters the most popular is the Huaptec Hi10-4s. The reason for this is that the Huaptec 4s model has 4G built-in, as well as the standard GSM voice and data, LTE and 3G.

The 4s model will cover all UK networks, so for example Vodafone, o2, Three and EE will all work using the one device. Once live, the system will be capable of broadcasting outside signals at a higher and better signal using its built-in mobile phone signal amplifier, which will increase the signal levels by up to 60dB. It does not, however, have 5G boosting across the 700MHz range, for this you would need to buy the Hi10-5s model.

The Huaptec 5S model is the most expensive booster in the range, usually retailing for about £1165 including vat and it has the entire range of 5 bands used in the UK that are permitted to be broadcast by Ofcom.

Huaptec Range Compared

The 5s model has one advantage, in that it will broadcast across the 700MHz range, this is the band most likely to be used for the roll out of Rural 5G. As a result we recommend anyone living in an isolated area should take advantage of the 5S model, as 700MHz is rolled out over the coming years. While it may not be effective straight away, it will mean you don’t have to upgrade your system later.

The least popular Huaptec model is the Hi10-3s model and for good reason. It only has 3 channels, one of which is the 2100MHz range that is being discontinued in the UK. That will leave only 2 usable bands: the 900MHz and the 1800Mhz bands.

The Huaptec booster range is ideal for any EE customer where they need to cover both voice and 4G data, as well as ideal for any O2,Vodafone or Three customer who only needs a mobile booster to help with voice calls. It is the cheapest Huaptec amplifier range approved for UK use and ideal for voice only solutions.

Overall, Huaptec gives the best value in the UK, and is a fraction of the price compared to the competition, for an all network amplifier. They are however low powered and ideal for only small areas, like home offices, open plan bungalows and apartments.
