2 Shot, 1 Pistol-Whipped In Pittsburgh-Area Altercation

McKEES ROCKS, PA — Two men were shot and a woman was pistol-whipped in a violent domestic incident Wednesday afternoon.

Allegheny County police said 911 was notified of a shooting in the 1000 block of Lake Street at around 2:30 p.m. First responders found a man shot and a woman beaten. A second man flagged down a nearby county sheriff’s deputy and reported he had been shot in the neck.

All three were taken to nearby hospitals and were in stable condition, police said.

Preliminary information indicates a violent domestic incident occurred inside a residence. The woman involved shot the man in the stomach area; the man took the gun away from her and beat her with it. The fight made its way outside, where the second man was driving by and was shot in the neck by the first man.

Police said Gene Brown, 28, is facing multiple charges that include attempted homicide and aggravated assault. He also was found to have multiple felony warrants for his arrest.

After being treated at the hospital, Brown was taken to the county jail pending preliminary arraignment.
