Rome Jazz Festival, Rome – November 1st to November 23rd
The 48th edition of the Rome Jazz Festival will take place at the Parco della Musica Auditorium from Friday, November 1st, to Saturday, November 23rd.
A star-studded lineup of jazz musicians and bands from all around the globe, including American-based solo artist Lakecia Benjamin, and popular band Bill Evans & The Vans Band All Stars, are set to take the stage.
Topics such as gender equality, civil rights, and inclusiveness will be at the centre of this edition, enhancing the role of female artists and the multidisciplinary approach of jazz music as a tool for emancipation and social redemption.

Fieracavalli, Verona – November 7th to November 10th
The Fieracavalli is one of Italy’s most well-known horse shows and features some of the best riders and horses in the world, all vying for the title of Fieracavalli Champion.
This year’s edition includes performances by French trainer Jean François Pignon and his 13 horses, plus Mirela Paulus, a Belgian rider who plays the violin on horseback.
Children can also take part in the fun at the Children’s Fair, which is dedicated to all young equestrian enthusiasts.

Sherbeth Festival, Palermo – November 8th to November 11th
Gelato fans rejoice – you’re in for a treat. Every year, gelato masters from each corner of the globe convene in Palermo’s Piazza Giuseppe Verdi, giving visitors a taste of the various new flavours they’ve been concocting.
This year, gelato artisans include Spoleto-based Alessandro Crispini (who won the Gelato World Tour in 2017) as well as artisans from Japan, China and Finland to name a few.
Guests can expect cooking shows, tastings, live music, and an explanation into the history of the iced delight.

BookCity Milano, Milan – November 11th to November 17th
There’s no time like autumn to curl up with a good book whilst sipping on a hot beverage. Luckily for bookworms, the organisers of BookCity Milano have the exact same thought.
Spanning over six days, this lively event brings readers, authors and publishers together for a range of events including presentations, public readings and shows.
The exact programme for 2024 is yet to be released, but if the last edition is anything to go by, there will be plenty to do.

Eurochocolate, Perugia – November 15th to November 24th
Besides a gelato festival, people with a sweet tooth will be thrilled to hear there is also an international chocolate festival in the city of Perugia, Umbria, this November.
Entering its 30th year, Eurochocolate attracts thousands of people from all over the world every year, offering the chance to sample prestigious varieties of chocolate from both Italy and abroad.

San Miniato white truffle market, San Miniato (Pisa) – Last three weekends of November
Celebrated in the medieval hill town of San Miniato, in Tuscany’s Pisa province, this white truffle market is the perfect opportunity to try the region’s world-famous tartufi bianchi.

During the fair, San Miniato comes alive with a medley of smells and flavour from the stands and truffle-based menus. Truffle lovers can expect cooking demonstrations, tastings, and talks on truffle-hunting.

Festa della Madonna della Salute, Venice – November 21st
Falling every year on November 21st, the Festa della Madonna della Salute (Festival of Our Lady of Good Health) is one of Venice’s most eagerly anticipated local events.
The festival dates back to 1631, when, according to local tradition, the Virgin Mary put an end to a devastating plague epidemic that was ultimately responsible for the death of as many as 47,000 residents.
Every year, thousands of people travel to Venice on November 21st to visit the famed Basilica Della Salute, thank the Virgin Mary for deliverance from the plague and feast on castradina, a traditional mutton and cabbage stew.
If you’re looking to experience Venice’s deep cultural and religious roots, this festival will be one of your best chances to do so.
Florence Marathon, Florence – November 24th
The 40th edition of the Florence Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 24th, and will start from and finish at the city’s breathtaking Piazza del Duomo.
First held in 1984, the runners of the maratona will cover 26.2 miles crossing Ponte Vecchio, looping around the Artemio Franchi stadium, and going along the River Arno before returning.

Bolzano Christmas Market, Bolzano – November 28th to January 6th
Christmas market season generally starts in late November in Italy.
Often considered one of, if not the best Christmas market in Italy, the long-standing Mercatino di Natale di Bolzano will return on Thursday, November 28th.
Visitors can expect hand-crafted goods, traditional music, and plenty of vin brulè (mulled wine).
