How can I go back to iOS 17?

I accidentally installed the new iOS 18, which normally wouldn’t be a problem, but I cannot stand the new photos layout and I desperately need to go back to iOS 17. I’ve found a few methods but all of them require a MacBook, which I do not have. I also reached out to apple but they said they could only upgrade iOS, not downgrade. Can anyone help me? Is there a way I can use the MacBook method but on an iPad?
