How To Choose The Right Robot Vac For You
If you’re picking up a robot vacuum cleaner for the first time, there are a few factors to consider. Think about the size of your home, the types of flooring you have, and any specific cleaning requirements you may have, such as shedding pets or allergy-prone members of your household. This can help you determine out how much you need to spend, and what features you can take advantage of (or live without). If you’re a little lost, check out the full PCMag guide to The Best Robot Vacuums for 2024 for a better idea on what is currently on the market.
Ultimately, you should choose a robot vacuum cleaner that fits your budget and meets your cleaning needs. It’s important to invest in a quality device that can effectively clean your floors and provide reliable performance over time, but not to pay for features you’ll never need. i.e if you live in a mostly carpeted home, you can probably live without the more expensive robot mops.
How Much Should You Spend On A Robot Vacuum
Generally speaking, around Black Friday you can find basic models that cost around A$170-$500, while more advanced models with additional features and higher performance can range from $500-$1,200. For the most premium devices, you could be looking at $1,500 to $2,000 or even more.
With all of this in mind, robot vacs are notorious for undergoing massive price fluctuations around major sales events. Depending on when you are reading this, the listed deals above are likely to be a bit higher than you would tend to find them on Black Friday/Cyber Monday or Amazon’s Prime Day. That said, they are significantly lower than you might find them in a brick-and-mortar retail store on any given weekend. If you can wait for one of these sales events, it’s best to do so. Otherwise, rest assured that you’ve certainly saved some coin with one of the robot vacuum cleaners listed above.
