Nigerian clergyman and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has addressed an issue he believes affects many pastors’ marriages.
He criticized certain pastors’ wives who, according to him, make their homes a source of distress for their husbands.
Bamiloye expressed concern over how the women allegedly exploit their husbands’ religious roles, creating difficulties in their marriages.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Saturday, Bamiloye noted that some wives take advantage of the fact that their husbands, as men of God, cannot retaliate physically or divorce them at will.

He described this as a form of emotional blackmail, where the pastoral calling and ministry are used as tools to manipulate the husbands.
He further lamented that many pastors are enduring unhappy marriages rather than enjoying them, highlighting a hidden struggle in some clergy households.
“Some women believe that a pastor cannot beat them like unbelievers or divorce them at will. They use the man’s calling/ministry to blackmail him. Several pastors aren’t enjoying their marriage but enduring it”, he said.
