Veterans Day is observed on November 11 each year. During this time, we honor the veteran population by educating the public about their service, sacrifices and the challenges they face today.
The facts and figures section of our 2024 Veterans Day Cultural Connection Toolkit focuses on key statistics and trends. Some highlights include:
- The poverty rate among veterans was 7.5% in 2022, lower than the non-veteran population.
- Veterans are much more likely to be men than non-veterans. Of all veterans, about 1 in 10 were women.
- In 2022, 31.6% of veterans had at least a bachelor’s degree.
