Amazon Music Unlimited Now Gives You Free Access to Audiobooks

Amazon has added a new perk to make its Spotify rival, Amazon Music Unlimited, a bit more appealing. Subscribers in the US, UK, and Canada can now access one title per month from Audible’s catalog of over a million audiobooks.

The music streaming platform doesn’t cap the listening hours for the monthly title you choose, but you can only access one audiobook at a time. If you want to swap your audiobook, you’ll have to wait until next month. But if you haven’t finished it by the end of the month, you can choose to continue with it for another one.

Customers who need more than one audiobook per month can get a standalone Audible membership, or purchase their preferred titles directly from Audible’s app.

The offer is valid for the Amazon Music Unlimited individual plan ($10.99 per month) and the primary account holders of the family plan ($14.99 per month). Amazon Music Unlimited has over 100 million songs in HD audio and ad-free podcasts.

“The combination of Amazon Music and Audible, two pioneers in audio streaming, brings an unmatched selection of audio entertainment to customers,” said Steve Boom, Amazon’s VP of audio, Twitch, and games.

Earlier this year, Amazon Music’s rival Spotify rolled out a similar audiobook perk for its top-tier subscribers. With Spotify Premium ($11.99 per month), users can access 15 hours of audiobook listening per month from over 250,000 audiobook titles.
