Why is capturing a picture much worse than capturing a video on iPhone 16 Pro?

  1. The first screenshot is the opening frame from a video.

  2. The second screenshot is a still shot while shooting that video.

  3. Third picture is just an image captured in Photo mode.

Why is the frame from the video look much more natural, beautiful, vibrant and just better to look at than the still shots which looks over-processed, over-sharpened, washed-out and just miles away how that frame looks from the video.

I switched over from Pixel 8 Pro to iPhone 16 Pro after a year and immediately noticed a huge differences in camera capturing dynamics in videos and images. Videos are so better on iPhone but, alas! I canโ€™t say the same for images. I much prefer Pixelโ€™s captured pictures over iPhoneโ€™s.

How can I improve the picture quality on iPhone, if I can, could you all please suggest some of your camera settings? I like to capture raw images and develop those with Snapseed but apparently unlike Pixel, I canโ€™t do the same with iPhone.
