Ondo state went to the polls earlier on Saturday to elect a governor, with the incumbent, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his closest challenger, Agboola Ajayi, being the favourites. There were 16 other candidates on the ballot.
The Independent National Electoral Commission is set to announce the official results from all the 18 local governments of the state. Already, about 98% of the results have been uploaded on the iReV portal as of 11 pm on Saturday.

PDP agent disputed the election results for Idanre LG, noting that there was not election at a polling unit. He also cited cases of ballot snatching for his rejection of the result.
