This 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe was purchased new via the Tourist Delivery program and acquired by its current owner on BaT in June 2022. Finished in special-order Orange Pearl Metallic over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes, a sunroof, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, heated front sport seats, and an Alpine Bluetooth stereo. Under current ownership, the tires were replaced and the engine oil was changed. This 911 Turbo coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manuals, service records, tool and tire-inflation kits, a Porsche car-care kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington State title in the owner’s name.
The car is reportedly one of three special-ordered (L999) from the factory in three-stage Orange Pearl Metallic by the owner of Autohaus Fortense in Forsyth, Illinois. Exterior details include a sunroof, headlight washers, fog lights, a front lip spoiler, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, black rear-fender stone guards, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. The left-side rocker panel was repaired and repainted in 2022, and touched-up paint on the front of the car is shown in the gallery below along with close-up photos of the finish.
Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels with black-finished centers were mounted with 205/55 front and 245/45 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires under current ownership. Braking is handled by ventilated and cross-drilled discs along with Porsche-branded calipers at each corner.
The heated and power-height-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black leather, and the dashboard, door panels, and folding rear seats are trimmed to match. Additional appointments include an aftermarket Alpine Bluetooth-equipped stereo, air conditioning, an analog clock, power windows, central locking, and Turbo-script floor mats. Driver-seat bolster wear is depicted in the gallery.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 600 of which were added under current ownership. The odometer was repaired by Palo Alto Speedometer in February 2022, and total mileage is unknown.
The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. The most recent oil change was carried out under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists factory colors and equipment, drivetrain numbers, and a production completion date of April 22, 1987. Owner’s manuals, service records, and spare floor mats will also accompany the car along with tool, tire-inflation, and car-care kits.
The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
