Two students from Palawan State University’s College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology achieved notable milestones this month. Charyze Arriane Naval presented her research at an international symposium on Thursday, November 14, while Prince Arcel Luay is now set to represent MIMAROPA in the upcoming Philippine Statistics Quiz in December.
Both Naval and Luay are BS Petroleum Engineering students from Palawan State University’s (Palawan SU) main campus.
Luay recently won the 28th Regional Philippine Statistics Quiz held in Calapan City on November 8, where he outperformed other first-year college students in MIMAROPA. On December 5, he will compete with 17 other regional winners in the longest-running statistics quiz in the country, which will be livestreamed on the official Philippine Statistics Authority Facebook page.
Naval recently presented her research titled “Machine Learning Models for Predicting Corrosion Inhibition Efficiency on N80 Steel Under HCl and High Temperature Environment” at the 28th Regional Symposium on Chemical Engineering in Bali, Indonesia.
Her research paper will also be published in a Scopus-indexed journal, a globally recognized citation database that covers high-quality research and scientific literature across multiple scientific disciplines.
