Egyptian vehicle payments gateway Tafweela becomes T-Vencubator’s 1st venture-building project – Disrupt Africa

Egyptian startup Tafweela, which aims to revolutionise the vehicle payments ecosystem through its innovative end-to-end payment solution, has become T-Vencubator’s first venture-building project.

T-Vencubator combines the benefits of venture capital and incubation to help bridge the gap between Egypt’s entrepreneurial potential and its technological capabilities, empowering startups to solve societal problems and shape Egypt’s future.

Disrupt Africa reported the company had launched its inaugural investment programme, and aimed to invest in five startups by the end of the year. The first one of those has now been revealed as Tafweela, is an end-to-end vehicle payment gateway that streamlines every aspect of fleet management.

Founded in 2023 by Marwan El Shayeb, the startup has developed a full suite of tools and services, from fuel payments and maintenance to insurance and roadside assistance, caters to enterprise and organisational fleets, offering unparalleled convenience and data-driven insights.

While Tafweela has already launched its B2B model, the expansion within B2C and individual cars is planned to soon disrupt the whole mobility ecosystem in Egypt.

As Tafweela becomes the first company in T-Vencubator’s venture-building portfolio, T-Vencubator will provide comprehensive support, including capital investment, mentorship, network access, and operational expertise. This new approach will accelerate Tafweela’s growth and enable it to rapidly scale its operations.

“Joining T-Vencubator’s venture-building portfolio is a game-changer for Tafweela,” said Marwan El Shayeb, the startup’s founder and CEO. “Their expertise and resources will be instrumental in our mission to revolutionise the vehicle payments industry. We are confident that together, we will create a sustainable and scalable solution that benefits businesses across Egypt.”

Tafweela represents the embodiment of T-Vencubator’s venture-building philosophy, said Reem Safy, CEO and founder of T-Vencubator.

“We are excited to help Marwan build Tafweela and create a high-impact business that addresses a significant market need. This venture exemplifies our commitment to identifying and nurturing exceptional entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas,” he said.
