JERSEY CITY, NJ — Owner Alyza Brevard-Rodriguez was on hand for the opening last month of the Other Side Cannabis Dispensary and Lounge in Jersey City Heights.
The shop — a quick walk from the 9th Street Ligh Rail Elevator that runs down the hill to Hoboken — is the “first recognized disabled veteran-owned, Latino-investor, minority owned” dispensary, noted Brevard-Rodriguez, who is a Navy veteran.
As with other dispensaries in New Jersey, it took a while for the owners to open the business — around 31 months, said Brevard-Rodriguez. She also owns Sw3at Wellness on Central Avenue nearby.
The Other Side is located at 36 Congress St., next door to the Cliff, a popular restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch.
The Other Side describes itself as “A premier cannabis destination that seamlessly blends wellness, education, and luxury within an interactive retail experience. This is Cannabis redefined.
