Gov. Joaquín Díaz announces project to open the Casa de las Artesanías de Yucatán in Mexico City
The governor of the state, Joaquín Díaz Mena, specified that, in his last meeting with the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, he requested a property on loan for the next 6 years to open the Casa de las Artesanías in Yucatán in Mexico City to take artisans to sell their products.
“We are going to do everything possible to have it in the Historic Center to permanently promote Yucatán in the capital of the country,” he added.
He also said that the Government House of Yucatán in Mexico City will be made available so that people who go for work reasons can use it for meetings.
On another topic, with an amount of 230 million pesos, he also announced support and financing that will range from 5 thousand to 5 million pesos for women producers and entrepreneurs.
The state executive shared that they carried out a prior diagnosis to identify the situation in which women find themselves and that is how he proposed the creation of support with fixed interest rates.
“It does not matter if the offer can cover all the demand we have, but this is a concrete response to their needs and it is giving them the freedom to create and develop a suit tailored to each one,” he explained.
