ParknShop has launched two pop-up outlets in Tsing Yi and Tin Shui Wai, offering incredible deals on essential items which are nearing their expiry dates.
Items, such as noodles cost HK$1 per packet and soft drinks at HK$3 per bottle. Those on a tight budget can find unbeatable bargains.
The outlets, located at +WOO Phase 1 in Tin Shui Wai and Cheung Fat Plaza in Tsing Yi, sell necessities that are near their expiry. However, there is a limit on quantity for some items.
Other affordable products include HK$3 for a can of coffee and HK$5 for a bottle of soy sauce.
The aggressive pricing is equivalent to the mainland supermarkets that have recently conquered Hong Kong. The pricing not only aims to benefit the market but also reduces waste.
ParknShop has been collaborating with Food Angel since 2012 to promote a “food-wise” culture.
The aim is to attract consumers who pursue cost-effectiveness and provide environmentalists an opportunity to support sustainable consumption.
