In eastern Spain, around 89 people are still missing after floods hit the Valencia area last week.
More than 200 people died, and authorities identified only 133 people so far. The government is asking families to provide DNA to help identify those who are missing. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez promised 11.6 billion dollars to help the victims, including cash and loans for small businesses. The government will also help with cleaning and repairing roads and buildings.
About 15,000 police and military members are working to clean up. Some people are angry over how quickly the government responded. They said that the authorities warned them too late. A research ship arrived in Valencia to help search areas that were difficult to reach. Officials worry that some people died in the sea.
Difficult words: to identify (to say who or what someone or something is), victim (a harmed or killed person), respond (to say or do something as a reaction to something else).
