Files Gone After Cancelling Windows Update

I really need some help here. I was updating Windows, but it was taking forever, and I needed to work, so I shut down my PC using the power button. When I turned it back on, half of my apps were gone, and it seems like some important system files are corrupted or missing.

Here’s what’s happening:

  1. A bunch of my apps disappeared.
  2. Some Windows files seem to be missing or corrupted.
  3. Tried running chkdsk and some repair commands, but nothing seems to work.

This all started after I forced a shutdown during the update because it was taking too long. Now my C: drive seems messed up, and I’m worried I might lose everything. Anyone have any idea what I can try to fix this or recover my files?

Appreciate any help!

I’ve already tried:

sfc /scannow: It said it fixed some issues, but nothing changed.
DISM /RestoreHealth: Ran successfully, but still no luck.
System Recovery: The recovery point I have is after the issue started happening, so no help there.
CHKDSK: Did that with /f /r /x, but no improvement.
