Queen of All Media Kris Aquino provided a recent update regarding her health.
In a lengthy Instagram post, she revealed that she recently got a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line two weeks ago.
A PICC line is a tube inserted in the arm, leg, or neck and is used for long-term administration of intravenous (IV) antibiotics or other medications, and for drawing blood.
“Exactly 2 weeks ago, i had an Ultrasound guided PICC LINE INSERTION, the minimally invasive surgery was done in Makati Medical Center. I would like to thank everyone in MMC for their genuine concern for my safety & wellbeing while confined- from those in the OR, all the doctors & residents who were monitoring me, the nurses in the 9th floor, and the security team- MARAMING SALAMAT sa INYO!” Kris wrote.
She also says that she needs to remain in isolation, especially after her immunity seems to be getting worse.
“During my hospitalization, my WBC dropped… i also had a bad allergic reaction to the last antibiotic i could still tolerate. What did that mean- wala na kong panlaban sa kahit anong viral or bacterial infection. I’m now in isolation. So many rules for family & friends na gusto akong dalawin. Yes, it’s lonely,” Kris explained.
Kris also admitted to feeling overwhelmed and losing hope sometimes.
“Kahit gaano katapang ako, there are moments especially pag nagsabay sabay my unexplainable allergies, my lupus (rashes, fever like heat in my entire body, migraine) and rheumatoid arthritis flares (the worst, stabbing/crushing deep bone pain in my knees, hips, ankles) plus my high blood pressure (170/116); i ask myself KAYA KO PA BA?” she shared.
However, she encourages herself to endure because of all the love and support that she constantly receives.
“What keeps me going? I REFUSE TO DISAPPOINT ALL THOSE PRAYING FOR ME. Ayokong maisip nyo na binalewala ko yung time & effort ninyo. Because your compassion has deeply touched my heart. Kaya #bawalsumuko #tuloyanglaban,” she ended her post.

In her last health update dated on October 20, Kris revealed getting a cancer scare as her colon “lit up.”
It can be recalled that Kris’s family, particularly her mother, has a history of colon cancer.
She also took this chance to deny rumors that she was planning an outdoor wedding, but admitted to having a new relationship.
Kris also teased an upcoming show which will supposedly launch “before 2024 ends.”
