Love Is Blind Season 7 has officially concluded with the reunion episode, which aired exclusively on Netflix on October 30, 2024, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. Throughout this social experiment, contestants were on a hunt to find their potential love interests. They made a strong emotional bond in the pods and met each other face-to-face after getting engaged. The last stage of the experiment was living together and seeing whether the couples worked in the outside world.
Throughout the show, viewers followed each couple’s journey; in the end, only two couples said yes at the wedding altar: Garrett and Taylor alongside Ashley and Tyler. Ramses and Marissa were also one of the final couples who were ready to get married until the former called things off with her. This was an unexpected twist towards the end of the episode.
During the Love is Blind season 7 reunion episode, all the drama was addressed. As per Tudum by Netflix, Marissa felt “blindsided” by Ramses’ decision to break up. She said:
“I miss the old Marissa before the breakup. I’m a little bit different now. I was very confident. I no longer needed to seek validation from men, and had been working through my childhood traumas.”

Marissa opened up about her emotional breakup stating that she is still recovering from getting “blindsided” by Ramses. The Love is Blind contestant shared that she still couldn’t understand the reason behind Ramses instantly breaking up with her. She mentioned that one of the crew members and the production team also got emotional seeing her cry after Ramses called things off. Marissa elaborated she was trying to get her “spark” back by heading from the breakup, she said:
“I’ve lost a little bit of that sparkle. I second-guess myself. My world was kind of turned upside down, so I’m really struggling with that.”
Despite asking Ramses multiple times what the main reason behind his wanting to go their separate ways was, Marissa stated she never got an answer. As fans already know, Ramses told her that their energy was clashing which is why they shouldn’t get married. However, according to Marissa, Ramses had to deal with the things linked to his “past marriage.” Marissa explained:
“I think he realized he couldn’t keep up with me — not just intellectually, but also how we operate in the world. He also has a lot of things to deal with from his past marriage. He shut down, isolated, protected himself, and broke up with me.”
Marissa shared that the two got in contact after their breakup, away from the cameras of Love is Blind. However, for Marissa, this became “toxic”, and they both were unable to “move on.” Marissa stated that Ramses had to work on himself and his past “traumas,” she continued:
“When I reflect, I recognize he has traumas he needs to work on. At the time, I thought he was so emotionally intelligent, but he uses it against you. He won’t ever be able to give me what I need and love, ultimately.”
