DOWNTOWN — Peso Pluma will headline Sueños, Chicago’s largest Latin music fest, next year in Grant Park.
The Mexican musician’s set was cut short at this year’s Sueños due to thunderstorms — but the festival organizers announced Pluma’s 2025 return on social media Thursday.
The two-day music fest’s next edition — presented by La Familia Presenta and C3 Presents, which also produces Lollapalooza at the lakefront park — is Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25. The full music lineup is yet to be announced, but people can sign up for the waitlist here.
Sueños will also add a variety of new components, including a second stage and dance zone with more bars and seating; more activities, food vendors and games; more staff and security; and a new entrance flow.
Tickets for this year’s Sueños went on sale in January and sold out in five days. But this year’s Sueños, which is Spanish for “dreams,” saw Rauw Alejandro, Young Miko, Xavi and more perform before it was canceled due to inclement weather.
The fest has become extremely popular and lucrative over the years: About 45,000 attended the first Sueños in 2022, ballooning to 80,000 in 2023.
Over the summer, Park District officials approved a contract allowing Sueños to expand capacity and add another day, paving the way for it to stay in Grant Park through 2029.
