Stars come out to celebrate wildlife warrior

Comedian Julia Morris will host this year’s Steve Irwin Gala in Brisbane in a huge event that celebrates the life and legacy of the late wildlife warrior.

The event funds conservation efforts in Australia and around the world to provide lifesaving treatment to wildlife injured in road accidents and attacks from domestic animals.

Overseas, it helps combat poachers, the illegal wildlife trade and communities to protect vulnerable species.
