Native American Heritage 2024 Facts and Figures

Native American Heritage Month is observed in November each year. During this month, we celebrate Native Americans by educating the public about their culture, history and challenges they face today.

The facts and figures section of our 2024 Native American Heritage Month Cultural Connection Toolkit focuses on population growth and other trends. Some highlights include:

• Growth of 11.6% in the Native American population from 2010 t0 2020.
• The U.S. government holds approximately 56 million acres of land in trust for Native American tribes.
• Native Americans serve in the U.S. military at a higher rate per capita than any other demographic.
