Byrd, Hoboken
Ehren Ryan, the Australian-born chef at the new restaurant Byrd in Hoboken, said he never intended to serve brunch at the eatery when it opened in June. But customers started asking, so as of early October, they’ve added the option on Sundays. Their spacious spot alongside Hoboken’s 9th Street light rail station — making it convenient to anywhere in Hudson County — has already gained a devoted clientele. Ryan also owns the popular restaurant Common Lot in Millburn, which doesn’t serve brunch. So if you want to try his breakfast offerings, head to Hoboken. The brunch menu includes Cilbir eggs (Turkish eggs), smoked salmon and potato cakes, avocado toast with egg, chicken and waffles, prime skirt steak with two fried eggs, and gluten free pancakes. There’s also a kids’ menu and a drink menu. Find out more here.
Sigri Indian BBQ And Wing It On, Newark
You’ll now be able to order “authentic” North Indian dishes and traditional chicken wings under one roof in Newark, as Craveworthy Brands has brought a new Wing it On! location at 155 University Ave. It’s a “co-branded” concept sharing a space with Sigri Indian BBQ. Find out more here.

and event space at the former site of Bell Labs in Holmdel. Shani, a chef on “Food for Thought” and Israel’s “Master Chef,” opened his first Miznon in Tel Aviv in 2011. He can seat up to 65 guests at the new spot. Find out more here.
