PPCPO honors past chiefs on 16th Founding Anniversary


The Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) marked its 16th Founding Anniversary with a ceremony recognizing former police chiefs and directors for their outstanding service and lasting contributions to the community.

Plaques of recognition were awarded to retired officers including P/Col. Jimmy L. Carbonell, P/Col. Ronald M. Barbosa, P/Col. Ronie A. Estepa, P/Col. Rolando T. Amurao, P/BGen. David A. Martinez, P/BGen. Caesar Daniel T. Miranda, P/MGen. Thomas R. Frias, P/MGen. Ronnie Francis R. Cariaga, P/BGen. Sergio G. Vivar Jr., and P/Col. Roberto M. Bucad.

Each honoree served as chief or director, establishing a legacy in the city’s policing history.

The event, themed “Serbisyong PPCPO, Mula Noon Hanggang Ngayon,” highlighted the agency’s commitment to public safety, with P/Col. Ronie S. Bacuel, the current city director, spearheading the celebration.

As part of the festivities, P/MSgt. Jazfer A. Hernandez and Pat. John Ernie L. Gomez were crowned Mr. and Ms. Tandikan Cops 2024.

The anniversary also featured the 1st City Director’s Inter-Agency Sports Fest, honoring teams and individuals for their sportsmanship and dedication.

Stakeholders and supporters were thanked for their contributions, ensuring a successful and memorable celebration for all involved.
