Cambridge United vs Burton – Cambridge United at 10/11 with bet365

It is the battle of the bottom two in League One on Saturday and there looks a strong chance that the home side, Cambridge, will hold the edge when they take on Burton,

Both have endured a miserable start to the campaign and already have ground to make up, but United look to have found some rhythm after they took just one point from their opening nine games.

But none of their eight defeats were by more than two goals and 2-0 victories over Wigan and Stevenage have left plenty feeling that relegation is perhaps not a formality.

The Brewers, meanwhile, are on a run of six straight defeats and have conceded at least twice in nine of their 11 outings with just one success coming in their last 12 road games.

Dan Childs

Grimsby vs MK Dons – MK Dons at 6/5 with bet365

MK Dons have improved under their highly-rated manager Scott Lindsey, securing 11 points from six games since the 52-year-old’s appointment, and they should be too strong for inconsistent Grimsby in their League Two clash at Blundell Park.

Lindsey took over a side languishing 19th in the standings and has already lifted them to 12th.

The Dons were not at their best during Tuesday’s 2-1 win at home to Accrington but they have won their last two away games, scoring eight goals in the process.

Lindsey’s side are ambitious to push for promotion and their resurgence looks bad news for the seventh-placed Mariners, who have lost three of their last four home games.

Aaron Ashley

Mansfield vs Birmingham – Birmingham at 8/11 with bet365

Birmingham are already as short as 2-7 to win the League One title despite it being only 11 games into a 46-match campaign, but it is easy to see why with them having won nine of those outings with 22 goals scored.

The Blues spent heavily over the summer in a bid to return to the Championship at the first time of asking and that wealth of investment looks like it may pay off.

Birmingham have won four of their five away league games and they can repeat the trick at Mansfield, who may be flattered by their fourth-placed position.

The Stags have recorded victories in six of their last seven league matches but they’ve profited from a soft schedule, with 16th-placed Blackpool their highest-ranked victim in that period.

Liam Flin

Derby vs Hull – Hull draw no bet at 11/10 with bet365

Hull performed admirably in their 1-1 draw with Burnley on Wednesday night, having come close to recording a win over the Clarets at the MKM Stadium.

And prior to the international break, they had posted three wins in their last four games, so they could be value draw-no-bet selection on the road to Derby.

Derby were held to a 1-1 draw by Oxford last time out and that means they have won just one of their last six games. They are worth opposing.

Alex Wrigley

NAC Breda vs RKC Waalwijk – NAC to win at 10/11 with bet365

RKC Waalwijk have taken just one point from a possible 27 in the Eredivisie this season and find themselves rock bottom of the table, with a ninth defeat of the campaign expected when they visit Breda on Saturday.

The visitors have shipped 13 times in their four away days this term and come up against an NAC side that beat Ajax at home earlier this term. That was the first of three home wins in four games for Saturday’s hosts, and they head into this tie having won their last three Eredivisie assignments.

Gareth Freeman

Angers vs Saint-Etienne – Saint-Etienne to win at 19/10 with bet365

Saint-Etienne did the league double over Angers in Ligue 2 last season and they can continue that dominance when the pair resume their rivalry as top flight outfits on Saturday.

Both of these teams are struggling but Les Verts have been able to at least put a few results together, while Angers are winless after eight games (D4, L4).

Le SCO have managed to stop the rot to a degree as their four stalemates have all come in their last five games but their better results have come away. Angers have just one point to show from four games so far at Stade Raymond-Kopa, and Saint-Etienne won 3-0 when they last visited this venue.

Aside from an 8-0 mauling at Nice, Les Verts have largely been competitive and they carved out a few chances in defeat to a good Lens side last time out, they should find Angers a little easier to cope with and they look well placed to come away with maximum points.
