Jack Lowden shares candid pic of Saoirse Ronan after silencing Paul Mescal

Jack Lowden has taken to social to share a picture of Saoirse Ronan after the actress silenced Paul Mescal on the Graham Norton Show.

Saoirse was joined by Kildare native Paul, two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington and “The Theory of Everything’s” Eddie Redmayne on the couch last Friday, where they were discussing taking their phone out if they were being attacked or in an argument.

With Paul, Denzel, and Eddie thinking that pulling a phone out in the middle of a fight or argument was an odd idea, Eddie explained that he was taught how to do something like that during his training for his new TV show “The Day of the Jackal.”

Awkward

“Who is actually going to think about that? If someone actually attacked me, I’m not going to go ‘phone,'” Paul said, miming taking a phone out to film.

Graham also thought the idea was odd, joking in an imaginary scenario “can you hold on a second?,” while Eddie added “that’s a very good point.”

With the four men surrounding her laughing, Saoirse pointed out that “that’s what girls have to think about all the time,” leaving the lads left in silence before she turned to the audience saying “am I right ladies?” to cheers.

Following a clip of the moment going viral on Twitter, now known as X, Saoirse’s husband and fellow actor Jack shared an image of her running some errands.

The picture, shared over the weekend without a caption to Jack’s 157,000 Instagram followers, saw “The Outrun” star picking up fresh flowers during a relaxing walk with their pet dog.

Fans of the couple, who met in 2018 on the set of the period flick “Mary Queen of Scots,” rushed to the comments section of the post to further commend Saoirse for speaking up on the BBC talk show.

One person said: “Truly appreciated her comments about women and girls on Graham Norton.”

Praise

Another added: “Love and appreciate what she said on Graham Norton.”

While someone wrote: “A perfect comment on Graham Norton about how women and girls feel about their safety. Please say thank you from a mum and her three girls.”

A fourth person commented: “There she goes – next year’s Oscar winner. Absolute legend o’ a woman.”

Another comment read: “Love her for what she said on Graham Norton. Thank you, Saoirse.”

Saoirse was on the programme to promote her new movie “Blitz,” with the war film from “12 Years A Slave” director Steve McQueen tipped to finally land the 30-year-old her first Oscar.
