A major search operation for a missing young man has resumed in the vicinity of Wexford Harbour.
The young man, who is believed to be in his late teens, is understood to have entered the water in Wexford town at around 2am on Sunday morning.
The Coast Guard was then alerted to the incident, and extensive searches were carried out in the area throughout the day on Sunday, with searches concentrated around Wexford Bridge and Harbour.
The operation involved search teams from Rosslare/Carnsore, the drone team and search team from the Curracloe Coast Guard, as well as the Wexford RNLI inshore lifeboat and members of An Garda Síochána.
Coast Guard helicopters R116 from Dublin and R117 from Waterford were also involved.
The operation was stood down late on Sunday night due to loss of daylight, but resumed at 8am this morning.
An Irish Coast Guard spokesperson said searches will also be conducted by the Garda water unit, with support from Slaney Search and Rescue.
