The United States Women’s National Team continue with their international window with their second friendly against Iceland this afternoon at GEODIS Park in Nashville. The USWNT was able to pull ahead of Iceland in their match on Thursday night to eventually win 3-1.
The USWNT want to continue building upon their performance, but there will likely be some turnover from the lineup for the first match. In an effort to conserve energy, head coach Emma Hayes has said that she will not give anyone on the roster heavy minutes to save their legs in this rare 3-match window. Expect the starting lineup to have some changes as they try to once again defeat a tough Icelandic squad.
