I'm trying to make a TTRPG I am making a 'hard sci-fi' game, and I want to minimize the uses of handwaved explanations.
The basic concept is the planet it takes place on has an atmosphere that naturally disrupts radio communications, but short range is possible and certain materials can by used to bypass the interference entirely.
I have no idea if such a thing is even possible, and I would appreciate some advice.
