Southgate knighthood, Yes or No?

Should Gareth Southgate receive a knighthood, I'm sure there are lots of opinions on this and I want to understand the thinking behind it. My personal opinion is no, I believe he is a average manager although a great ambassador for English football but at least should have some silverware before this became a debate. I think it is unfair to put a person in this situation where they are offered a knighthood. as the options for him are now don't take it and never get one, or take it and probably live with knowing deep down you don't deserve it. This is not to say he won't be deserving in the future but for me, he has more work to do. Knighthoods appear to be loosing their value. What's your thoughts 🤔
