PETALING JAYA: Transit rail operator Rapid Rail has issued a guidebook for commuters using LRT and MRT services in a bid to increase awareness about public transport.
The guidebook is the result of a collaboration between Rapid Rail and the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad). It is aimed at educating passengers, especially first time commuters and tourists, on the proper and safe use of transit services.
Rapid Rail CEO Amir Hamdan said the operator was committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for its users.
He said that the guidebook contains illustrations that made it easy for readers to understand safety procedures and etiquette.
“We believe that this is a more effective method of getting the message across,”he said at the launch of the guidebook at the Merdeka MRT Station in Kuala Lumpur this morning.
The guidebook also features information on its facilities at the stations and its services.
