On October 24th, CATL officially launched the Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery for plug-in hybrid vehicles. The slogan is “With Freevoy Voyage Free”.
The Freevoy battery combines sodium-ion and lithium-ion technology, addressing common hybrid vehicle challenges, particularly in low-temperature environments. With its implementation in top brands like Li Auto and AVATR, and more partnerships set for 2025, the Freevoy battery is poised to drive the future of hybrid vehicles globally.
In terms of charging performance, the battery supports “charging for 10 minutes to replenish over 280km” with a range of 400km.
In terms of safety, the Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery is equipped with the second-generation non-thermal proliferation technology, pioneering smoke and high-voltage active isolation technology, reducing the defect rate of single cell to PPB level.
The battery also supports bidirectional interaction with the grid, allowing for reverse power transmission.
