Stainless steel ring watch by timex and MM6 Maison Margiela
Timex and Maison Margiela team up for the MM6 collection, which includes a reimagined T80 steel timepiece that functions as a ring watch. It looks snuggy because there’s a hidden expansion band under the fully brushed stainless steel strap that can stretch to accommodate different finger sizes. Looking at the design, there’s a small digital time screen, and just below it, there’s a mineral lens tailored to the Maison Margiela ring watch.
This glass features a mirrored mask that exhibits the sequence of digits from zero to 23. In these rows of numbers, the number six is encircled, a nod to the MM6 numerical signature and the collaboration between the maison and the watch brand. The working base for the ring accessory is the Timex retro-style T80 timepiece. This is the first time that the model gets a ring watch counterpart, and more so, designed by MM6 Maison Margiela.

Water-resistant watch but only up to 30 meters
Stainless steel is the material for the Timex and MM6 Maison Margiela ring watch. The design teams polish it for a solid and glistening look so the hours and minutes look visible anytime. The ring watch comes with an SR521SW battery, and its time movement is digital. It also features an internal electrical circuit that controls the rate of the ring watch’s ticking. It’s because of this that the watch brand and fashion house make the accessory water resistant.
But it doesn’t mean that the Maison Margiela ring watch is suitable for diving or swimming, at least for up to 30 meters. Accidental splashes of water and hand washing are approved, and wearers should avoid pressing any buttons while the ring watch is wet to avoid damaging the accessory. Thanks to the stainless steel, the accessory can be highly resistant to scratches, corrosion, and tarnishing, and it’s also hypoallergenic for those who may have skin issues. Alongside the ring watch, Timex and MM6 Maison Margiela also unveil a proper wristwatch of the same style, which includes the brand’s INDIGLO backlight technology for night visibility.
