On October 23, local time in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Pony.ai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emile Weber, a transportation company in Luxembourg. The two parties will collaborate to promote the research and deployment of autonomous driving vehicles and technology in Luxembourg.
In addition, Pony.ai has established a European R&D center in Luxembourg, focusing on the exploration and development of cutting-edge technologies in autonomous driving, and providing customized solutions for the European market. Based on this center, Pony.ai is promoting the implementation of autonomous driving technology and products in Luxembourg and across Europe, as well as engaging in industrial cooperation.
According to publicly available information, Pony.ai currently has R&D centers in China, the United States, and Europe. With the maturity of L4 autonomous driving technology and Robotaxi/Robotruck business models, Pony.ai is expanding its overseas presence. In addition to Luxembourg, Pony.ai is also collaborating on autonomous driving technology implementation in South Korea, Saudi Arabia, UAE among other places.
On Thursday October 17th Eastern Time (US), Pony.ai officially submitted its IPO prospectus to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with plans to list on Nasdaq under the stock symbol “PONY”.
