A bus crashed into a trailer in the western state of Perak in Malaysia on Thursday afternoon, killing one Japanese national, the Japanese Embassy in Malaysia said Friday.
Local media reported that the accident occurred on an expressway heading south near the town of Taiping.
Thirteen people — 11 Japanese tourists and a local driver and tour guide — were injured, according to the reports.
