GURNEE, IL — The Lake County Coroner’s Office has identified a 39-year-old Chicago man who died after being run over by a skid steer while working in Gurnee.
Gregory Bolls died from blunt force injuries as a result of the Friday incident, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Bolls, a construction worker, had been contracted to complete work at an Illinois Tollway Authority maintenance building near the Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee when he appeared to walk in front of the miniature bulldozer and was run over, according to media reports.

He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center and died on Sunday in the intensive care unit at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
