King Charles will not be sharing a hobby of his son Prince Harry on his Australian royal tour. While meeting people from Australia over the last five days, the King made it clear that he will not take up surfing like his youngest son.
A video of Harry taking up the sport went viral last week, and with the King being in surfer’s paradise, the offer to ride the waves could be quite tempting.
According to GB News, Joe Ackland of Melbourne met the King and asked him “if he would be going to go surfing or swimming on Manly Beach”.
The King reportedly replied: โIf I was a younger man.โ Just last week, Harry, 40, was seen living his best life in California, where he owns a property with wife Meghan Markle, as he was filmed at Kelly Slater’s ‘Surf Ranch’.
A video shared to Instagram showed the Duke of Sussex, 40, surfing a 6-ft artificial wave. Fans of the duke, who quit life as a senior royal in 2020, were quick to comment on the video and praise the prince.
One wrote: “Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex surfing and thriving in California.” Another said:”Meghanโs man, aka Prince Harry, is full of surprises! Heโs an honorary Californian now.”
It is not known whether Harry has spoken to his father recently since his 40th birthday.
