Toronto Police said officers responded on Sunday at about 10:35 p.m. to an unknown trouble call in the Ranee Ave.-Allen Rd. area, just south of Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
Police said the victim was walking on Ranee before the suspect approached and asked for directions. The victim then crossed the street to avoid contact with the suspect, who proceeded to follow the victim.
The victim tried to run away, police said, before the suspect allegedly grabbed her by the hair and arms and dragged her between two houses. Witnesses intervened and the suspect fled from the scene.
The suspect is a 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 Black male in his mid-30s with a thin to average build, short hair that was almost shaved and a dark medium-length beard. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, dark blue jeans and black, red and white running shoes.

2ND PERSON CHARGED IN MISCHIEF PROBE
A second person has been charged in a mischief investigation linked to a demonstration at a private business.
Toronto Police said officers attended a demonstration in the Eglinton Ave. E.-Yonge St. area on March 7, when the suspects and other demonstrators allegedly entered a private building and prevented an employee from entering.
Police said the suspects allegedly wore masks to conceal their identities and the employee left in fear for her safety.
Faisal Ibrahim, 38, of Toronto, was arrested on Friday and charged with mischief/interfering with property and disguise with intent.
Police said earlier this month that Rachelle Friesen, 38, of Toronto, was also charged with mischief and disguise with intent as part of the investigation.
