Markham murder victim shot in his driveway

A 44-year-old Markham man was shot and killed in his driveway, according to York Regional Police.

Officers found Partheepan Panchalingam when they responded to a call for help in the 14th Ave.-McCowan Rd. area.

They said a gunman had targeted Panchalingam, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are looking for at least one suspect, who wore dark clothing, as well as a white SUV.

Toronto cops on the hunt for Peeping Tom

Toronto Police are looking for help identifying a Peeping Tom in a criminal harassment investigation.

A Peeping Tom watched a woman through the windows of her downtown home, according to Toronto Police.

The man had already fled when officers were called to the College-Beverley Sts. area last Thursday around 10 p.m.

Police said the same man was seen on the property looking in the windows in September and again earlier this month.

Described as white, 40-50 years old with white or grey hair, he wore glasses, a dark-coloured baseball hat, a light-coloured hoodie and carried a backpack.

Rocks thrown at vehicles

Police are investigating a flurry of cases in which rocks were thrown at vehicles on a highway in Markham.

Police began an investigation on Sept. 20 after receiving three reports of rocks being thrown at vehicles in the area of Hwy. 48 and Major Mackenzie Dr.

There have been a total of nine incidents. Two people have been seriously injured and several vehicles have been damaged.

Police say the incidents may all be linked to the same suspect or suspects.

A suspect vehicle is described as a dark-coloured SUV.
