Newspaper Headlines: Ten Hag Rage at Sloppy Red Devils
Manchester United (The Red Devils) suffered their first defeat of the season at Brighton after conceding a late winner. Their manager Erik Ten Hag was very angry at the way that his team lost and blamed both defence and attack for the defeat. The headline uses the word ‘rage‘ to show how angry Ten Hag was with his team – rage means to be really angry at something and the manager was extremely angry with (or ‘at’) his team. The adjective ‘sloppy‘ means that the team did not take care – they switched off at key moments and allowed their opponents to score the winner at the end of the game.
