Join us all October long as we promote the 21st annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month through in-person and virtual events. Attend the following events to learn all about cybersecurity and how you can stay cyber safe:
Rutgers WIT+ Cybersecurity and You (Why Is It Important and What Is My Role?)
Join the women of the Information Security Office (ISO) in collaboration with Rutgers Women+ in Technology Group (WIT+) as they dive into the fascinating world of cybersecurity. Explore why security awareness matters to all of us and register for the virtual event on October 9 at 10 a.m.
Benefits Fairs
Visit the ISO table at the University Human Resources (UHR) Benefits Fair on your respective campus to learn about the resources ISO provides to the Rutgers community to keep staff and faculty cyber-aware. Learn about current cyber threats, ask questions, and enter to win a swag prize pack! For more information regarding the upcoming in-person benefits fairs, visit the UHR website and register for a date and location that best suits your schedule.
Information Security Office Lunch and Learn
Meet the members of the ISO’s Compliance and Training Team and learn about our partnership with KnowBe4.com, the leading learning platform for cybersecurity awareness. We’ll walk through licensing details, how to log into the platform, and where you and your colleagues can find and access free educational material anytime, anywhere, via the web portal or the mobile application. Register for the virtual event on October 23 at 11 a.m.
BTAA Cybersecurity Awareness Month Collaboration: Level Up Your Cyber Game! College Competition Edition!
Join the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) on October 30 at 1 p.m. to compete against our campus rivals! In this real-time virtual gameshow event, our NCA host will deliver security challenges suitable for students, staff, and faculty alike, teaching you practical techniques to help safeguard your digital life. The more challenges you complete and questions you answer correctly, the more points you (and Rutgers) earn toward the BTAA leaderboard! Students can sign up using their ScarletMail accounts, and faculty and staff can use their Rutgers email accounts to participate in the event. Just list Rutgers University as your organization! Make sure you register for the game show event (at least 24 hours prior to the event) and finish off Cybersecurity Awareness Month with a bang!
