Police say they have arrested a 33-year-old Edmonton man wanted for second-degree murder in a homicide investigation.
The Edmonton Police Service says the victim, 32-year-old Aaron Staszko, was found in critical condition at a home on 34 Street and 138 Avenue on Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. He was taken to hospital, where he died.
Officers were responding to the report of a disturbance.
An autopsy determined Staszko was injured by an edged weapon, and the manner of death was homicide.
Edmonton police say a suspect was located and arrested later Wednesday.
Michael Ferreira, 33, is also facing charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats in relation to his interactions with a 35-year-old woman during the initial disturbance incident.
Police say the suspect, victim and the woman all knew each other.
