There are no major quarterback injuries unless you are a manager still reeling from Tua Tagoivailoa’s head injury, but the fact that Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions remains available in as many leagues as he is can only be described as baffling.

The former No. 1 overall pick has been the fourth-best QB in fantasy in each of the last two weeks and will have the opportunity to continue that trend in Week 4 against the unbeaten Minnesota Vikings.

Goff has scored 25 or more points in his last two games as the Lions offense has come alive and looked unstoppable. While the Vikings are ranked ninth against opposing QBs, Goff has over 80 percent of his passes in the last two weeks and has thrown for five touchdowns.

He has been nothing short of extraordinary and could be the first quarterback to hang an “L” on Kevin O’Connell’s team this season.

That he is still available 14 percent of Yahoo leagues and an absurd 52 percent of ESPN leagues is comical.

Managers should take a look at their quarterback situation, determine if they have a legitimate starter who is consistent enough to give them a win every week from here through the start of the playoffs, and decide if Goff is a better option.

Unless their starters are Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Jayden Daniels, the answer sis probably a resounding “yes.”
