PALECO sets October power rates across Palawan


PALECO has announced its power rates for October 2024, which vary across different areas of Palawan and are categorized for residential, industrial, commercial, and public building users.

In the mainland areas of Puerto Princesa, Aborlan, Narra, Brooke’s Point, Bataraza, Sofronio Española, Quezon, Taytay, Roxas, and Dumaran, power rates provided by DPI (EPSA), DMCI, and PPGI are set as follows: residential users will be charged ₱15.6693 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), industrial users ₱14.5278 per kWh, commercial users ₱14.5544 per kWh, and public building facilities ₱14.6515 per kWh. Street lighting in these areas will cost ₱14.3505 per kWh.

In San Vicente, El Nido, and Rizal, where NPC is the power provider, residential users will pay ₱10.7319 per kWh, industrial users ₱9.9264 per kWh, commercial users ₱9.9530 per kWh, and public building facilities ₱10.0501 per kWh. Street lights in these areas will be charged at ₱9.7491 per kWh.

For the areas of Araceli, Balabac, Cagayancillo, and Agutaya, also served by NPC, residential rates are ₱9.6119 per kWh, industrial rates are ₱8.8064 per kWh, commercial rates are ₱8.8330 per kWh, and public building facilities are charged ₱8.9301 per kWh. Street lights will cost ₱8.6291 per kWh.

In Cuyo and Magsaysay, where NPC is also the provider, residential users will be charged ₱10.9675 per kWh, industrial users ₱10.1620 per kWh, commercial users ₱10.1885 per kWh, and public building facilities ₱10.2856 per kWh. The rate for street lights in these areas will be ₱9.9847 per kWh.

Additionally, fixed charges, including VAT, apply to all categories. Residential users will be charged ₱5.6, while fixed charges for commercial, industrial, and public building facility users range from ₱85.99808 to ₱644.406, depending on the category. Street lighting is subject to a fixed charge of ₱85.944656.

These rates will take effect throughout October 2024, and PALECO advises consumers to review the rates applicable to their respective areas.
