The Israel military confirmed that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in an operation in the southern Gaza Strip on Oct.16 “after a year-long pursuit”Foreign Minister Israel Katz said also said that Sinwar, “responsible for the massacre and atrocities of October 7, was eliminated.” The Israeli army and domestic security agency Shin Bet said Sinwar was among three militants killed by the 828th Brigade. “After completing the process of identifying the body, it can now be confirmed that [Sinwar] was eliminated”, they said in a join statement. Israel’s Channel 12 published said an identification test conducted on the body recovered yesterday by the IDF found a “full match” to Sinwar.
