Match Report: Dartford FC 4-1 Barking FC
London and South East Regional League Premier Division, played on Wednesday 16th October 2024.

Darts were back on home soil under the lights as we welcomed Barking FC to Princes Park. Darts headed into this unbeaten in the league since the opening day of the season and wanted to continue that run with victory in this contest.
The home side began brightly and created several good chances in the early stages. The best of these chances came in the 14th minute, a great ball from Brionne Fowle found Amy Russ unmarked in the box. The shot on goal from the Darts forward was parried by the keeper. The ball fell to Emily Woodhouse, whose shot on goal was saved by Barking’s keeper to keep the game goalless.
Darts continued on the front foot and it wasn’t long before we were ahead. In the 18th minute, a great ball from Amy Russ across the 6yd box found Xayla-Rae Alberts free and the Darts captain poked the ball into the empty net to put us ahead.
The response from the visitors was instant. In 19th minute, a sweeping move from the restart saw the visitors equalise and we were level.
Darts reacted well and regained the lead shortly after. In the 21st minute, a great cross from the right found Amy Russ unmarked in the box. The Darts forward did well to control the cross and finish smartly to put us back ahead at half time.
The home side continued to create great chances and sealed all three points in the 63rd minute. A cross from Emily Woodhouse found Brionne Fowle in the box. The Darts midfielder turned smartly to create the opportunity and sent a powerful shot past the keeper to put us 3-1 ahead.
Darts got their fourth goal of this contest late on. In the 84th minute, a cross from Emily Woodhouse found Emily Vaughan in the box and the Darts forward fired home to score goal number four for the home side.
