I really tried to make the game lo-fi and feel like a simple game from decades past so in the end I accidentally made it optimized and have such a small file size too haha
It might take a while for that though as I would have to redo the layout of some menus to fit it in the main menu or something and also design that menu to access unlocked notes, but definitely something I consider for a future update. Thanks!
I never miss a release by the mighty Darius! getting this now! congrats on the release!
I’ve been screenshotting Walter’s messages. I love the game lore, story, and everything about Walter’s memories. I don’t know how far in I am (played the debugging game about 5 times so far Edit: on level 68) but it’s a rage fest in the best possible way.
Easily your best game yet. Love that it‘s portrait. Controls are tight. And story so far is really intriguing. Super fun to play.
TBH that is pretty good advice haha. Thank you for the recommendation! Please enjoy the game!
No surprise you’d enjoy a good rage fest. Thank you so much AKD!
You have no idea how much it means to me whenever people think my latest game (whichever it is at the time) is my best one. Thanks for that! Have fun!
I’m really enjoying this game! I’m currently on level 36 and have a couple of suggestions. It would be great if I could continue playing without being redirected to the game over screen.
Also, the controls are a bit too close together. Aside from that, this is one of the best portrait-mode games I’ve played in a long time .
I’m glad you’re enjoying! It says a lot about your enjoyment of the game that you want to head right back into action after a death. Noted on the feedback. Thank you so much for the kind words!

One of the key aspects I really appreciate in DG’s work is the thoughtfully expansive world-building birthed in his first games and continued into his latest and greatest. Each game presents a new chapter in the DERE.EXE mythos taking players on a darkly, fantastical journey at an accessible price point. The games themselves are fun, twisted, enchanting and, sometimes…quite spooky. Another banger from AppSir!
